Whananaki FM already #1 station in Whananaki

Listeners from as far afield as Auckland, Hamilton, Napier and Australia have tuned in on Whananaki’s first few days.  

It’s day three of broadcast for the new station, and in the last 24 hours up to thirteen people have been streaming Whananaki FM at any one time.  The statistics revealed by NZME don’t include those listening on the 88.2 FM frequency.

Station boss Donna Gurney said given expectations were that nobody would listen, it’s a pleasing result in the early stages of the fledgling station.
