Local Marua brewery wins New World Top 25 Beer & Cider Award

They would’ve been sinking a few celebratory ales last weekend at Heaven’s Brewery in Marua.  The hand-built brewery 20 km’s from Whananaki village has been graded in the Top 25 of the New World Beer & Cider Awards.

The prestigious award was given for their Judas Sheep dark lager - a meld of chocolate, toast and smoke with a lovely roasty charry bitterness.

It means the beer will be stocked in New Worlds nationwide.

You can try Judas Sheep at the Whananaki General Store for $8.50 a bottle.
